MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT WITH INJURY

Department 7 was dispatched for a multiple vehicle accident on Rt 322. Upon arrival one vehicle was being operated and struck several parked vehicles. Units 702 and 708 responded.

STRUCTURE FIRE-MOHAWK DRIVE

While on routine patrol, Conneaut Lake Regional Police Sgt. Greg Nichols observed flames from a boat that was stored under a porch. the fire was extending to the overhead porch structure. Fire was knocked down first with a fire extinguisher by Sgt. Nichols and finished by firefighters. GREAT JOB SGT. NICHOLS!!!!!

Department 7 was dispatched for a 1 vehicle accident with injury, entrapment and ejection. Use of the Hurst tool was necessary for extrication. Units 708, 714 and Fire Police responded.

Congratulations to Mark Ridgeway as "Firefighter Of The Year". Mark rarely missed a call and was always there when needed. Thanks Mark!! In appreciation for his commitment to the department, Mark was awarded a new helmet.

LIVE BURN CLASS AT SUMMIT DEPARTMENT 20

Several area departments attended a live burn class on Harmonsburg Rd. Thank you to Summit Twp VFD, Dept 20, for hosting this class. Everything went smoothly. Thanks for the great lunch when we were finished. Awesome chili!!!!

VEHICLE RESCUE TRAINING @ STREET TRACK & TRAIL

Vehicle rescue training was conducted at Street Track & Trail-Honda Cars of Meadville. Departments attending were 7 Conneaut Lake, 23 Vernon Central and 40 Greenwood. items covered were vehicle stabilization, tool safety, and use of rescue tools. Special thanks to Honda Cars of Meadville for supplying the "clunkers" and to Chief Hank Piatt of Greenwood VFD for setting up this training session.

Departments 7 and 5 were dispatched for a working structure fire with possible entrapment. Department 31 arrived and advised the fire showing, second alarm was dropped. Thank you to the assisting departments 15 Linesville, 20 Summit Township, 23 Vernon central, 28 West Mead, 40 Greenwood, 45 Fallowfield, 31 CLASS and 89 Jamestown.

2 vehicle accident on Rt 322. Originally dispatched with injury and entrapment. Upon arrival found operator self extricated and heavy damage to both vehicles. Unit 708 responded.

Department 7 was dispatched for a 2 vehicle accident on Rt. 322 near Millers Food Factory. Also at scene was Conneaut lake Area Ambulance, Pennsylvania State Police, Conneaut Lake Regional Police and Vernon Twp Police.
